A new round of World Cup Watch Parties
Mayor Michelle Wu announced a slate of free, family-friendly watch parties for the remaining FIFA World Cup™ matches. These watch parties, taking place through the end of the tournament, will provide residents, families, and visitors an opportunity to come together and celebrate Boston as a host city and the momentum created by fans from all over the world. Tall Ships Return
The Tall Ships are returning to Boston Harbor from July 11th through July 16th, bringing six days of maritime magic to the waterfront. From the spectacular Parade of Sail and free ship tours to fireworks, waterfront festivities, and plenty of opportunities to explore Boston, Sail Boston 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the summer. Speaking of Tall Ships…Family-Friendly Front-Row Seat to the Parade of Sail
Your FREE, Family-Friendly Front-Row Seat to the Parade of Sail . Massport invites you to see the Parade of Sail up close from Piers Park on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy prime waterfront views, music, and family-friendly activities.
Visitors may bring folding chairs. There will be no parking on-site, but FREE shuttle service will be available beginning at 8am.

Parade of Sail Pop-up
The Tall Ships are in town, and the Seaport is one of the spots where it is all happening! There will be a Pop-Up happening on Seaport Common on Saturday, July 11th, from 9am to 4pm. There will be games and experiences from businesses such as Ballers, F1 Arcade, and Kings. Restaurants will also be popping up with delicious dishes. Check out the full list here!
Sail Boston Fireworks
Fireworks will illuminate Boston Harbor and the Tall Ships on Saturday, July 11th at 9:15pm. The fireworks will launch from a barge located off of Boston’s Fan Pier. They’ll happen again on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:15pm too!
Eastie Week Returns!
East Boston’s annual celebration of community, culture, music, arts, and waterfront pride is returning this summer bigger than ever before. Now in its 13th year, Eastie Weeks 2026 will be the longest and most expansive celebration in the event’s history running from July 12 to 29. Led by East Boston community organizations and residents and supported by Boston Harbor Now, the celebration brings together artists, musicians, businesses, cultural institutions, and neighbors for two+ weeks of events that showcase the people, places, and partnerships that make East Boston unique. Free Fitness Saturdays at Mary Ellen Welch Greenway
The Greenway is full of things to do this summer, from concerts to bocce and everything in between. Include some fitness and relaxation with two of our favorite instructors. Beginning July 11 until August 29 join Karen Barbarisi for FREE Tai Chi classes at Bremen Street Park Amphitheater. Every Saturday at 12:30 PM Beginning July 12 until August 30 join Ana Maria Amigo for FREE Zumba classes at Bremen Street Park Amphitheater. Every Sunday at 9:30 AM All classes are free. No registration required. Simply show up!
New Exhibition at AWG – Realist[STATE]
Atlantic Works Gallery is excited to announce Realist[STATE], a solo show of work by Walter Kopec, from July 3-25, 2026. If you are looking for something to do to kick off your July 4 weekend, please stop by the show opening on Friday, July 3, from 4-7 pm! The artist will also be at the Gallery on Saturday, July 4, from 2-6 pm. AWG is located at 80 Border Street, with free parking. It’s also a short walk from Maverick Station. Make a day of it in Eastie — beautiful parks, stunning views of Boston, and great restaurants. Kick off the summer with art! It would be great to see you. Regular gallery hours throughout the exhibition are Fridays and Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or by appointment.
Take a sunrise or sunset kayak tour
What better way to start or end your day than with a guided sunrise or sunset kayak tour of Boston Harbor? The Piers Park Sailing Center offers guided sunrise and sunset tours this weekend! It’s a great way to explore the city from the ocean! You can book the morning session here and the evening one here! Kayaking at Piers Park helps support its public access, youth, and adaptive programs. They are also open for regular public kayaking; you can reserve a time to kayak the Piers Park Cove by booking here.
ZUMIX’s Summer Concert Series Returns + the Annual Walk
ZUMIX’s annual Summer Concert Series returns to Piers Park with free, family-friendly concerts showcasing local and international artists across rock, folk, jazz, soul, funk, and world music. All concerts are open to the public and include performances by ZUMIX youth openers. Piers Park is located at 95 Marginal Street, East Boston, MA. Takes place on Fridays from 6-8pm.
This year is especially meaningful as ZUMIX celebrates its 35th Anniversary!!! What began as a summer songwriting program in a Maverick Square apartment has grown into a thriving, award-winning organization in East Boston, where young people discover their voice, build confidence, and shape their future through music and creative technology. The Walk for Music is Zumix’s biggest fundraiser, and reaching our $120,000 goal is essential to keeping our programs free and accessible. The walk will take place on Sunday, July 12th starts at 3pm.
