Love is in the air in Eastie! Whether you’re planning a romantic evening with your significant other or celebrating the love you share with friends and family, nothing sets the mood quite like beautiful blooms, special gifts, delectable dining experiences and fun dates! In this roundup, we’ve curated a selection of top florists, restaurants, gift + date ideas to make this Valentine’s Day unforgettable.

FOOD

Cunard’s Tavern

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Cunard’s Tavern has a new menu for you and someone to try.  Order up a fun cocktail and enjoy items like steamed Main Mussels, Chicken Pot Pie and Bone-In Short Ribs. You can check out the full menu here.

Reel House

Enjoy Valentine’s Day on Boston’s waterfront with breathtaking views and a romantic setting to match.  Be on the lookout for special Valentine’s Day additions!  You can check out the full menu here!

MIDA East Boston

MIDA is a lovely spot to feel the love this Valentine’s Day with gorgeous views and delicious Italian food.  We expect a Valentine’s menu to be launching soon!

Rino’s Place

Rino’s Place is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary pilgrimage for those seeking authentic Southern Italian cuisine. While you will likely need to grab a drink at nearby Kelley Square Pub while you wait for a table, Rino’s is well worth it. Despite its diminutive size, Rino’s reputation for exquisite flavors and generous portions draws crowds willing to endure the journey (think house-made wild boar sausage and lobster ravioli the size of your first). Heads up before you go, Rino’s place is cash only, so make sure you hit the ATM before you head out!

Pazza on Porter

Looking for a vibrant spot to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your gal pals? Look no further than Pazza on Porter! This one’s for the girls… literally.💖🥂 When you make a Galentine’s Day reservation on Friday, February 13th, comment “FORTHEGIRLS” so they know what you’re celebrating. They’ll send a fresh pasta on the house to help you balance out all those cocktails.

Marios

There’s nowhere that says “that’s amore” more than Mario. A quintessential spot of old-school Italian dining, you might be able to snag a table on a weeknight, but prepare for a wait on a weekend or holiday evening. This Day Square dime rarely changes its menu, but it doesn’t need to – every offering is home-made, and stepped in tradition, with options ranging from bolognese, veal, pastas of every type, and some of the best chicken cutlets we’ve ever had.

Angela’s Cafe

While everyone else is having a Valentine’s Day martini, why don’t you try a Margarita? Angela’s stands out as a prime destination for Valentine’s Day, offering an authentic taste of Mexico right in the heart of East Boston. Helmed by owner Luis Garcia and his mother, this renowned Mexican eatery brings the flavors of Puebla, their hometown, to every dish, from the tantalizing chilaquiles verdes with chicken to their famous Mole. Angela’s has the benefit of having two Eastie locations (one in Eagle Hill and another in Orient Heights), so take your chances on a last-minute table.

Luna’s

Can’t decide between Latin American or Italian food? Split the difference at Luna’s Restaurant. Nestled at 945 Saratoga St., Luna’s welcomes diners with a diverse menu spanning from breakfast to dinner, highlighting Italian classics and Latin American flavors. Couples can savor delectable dishes such as shrimp scampi, meatball spaghettoni, and clams linguine, perfectly complemented by starters like assorted crostini and calamari. For those seeking lighter options, Luna’s offers a tempting array of soups, salads, and grilled pizzettas, along with a kids’ menu for families who aren’t able – or not interested – in having a solo date night. Or if night isn’t your thing at all, Luna’s offers an opulent sit-down breakfast, served until 3PM each day.

Petrova Chocolates –located at 277 Border Street!  This new chocolate boutique was established back in 2020 as an online shop, but this will be its first brick-and-mortar location right here in Eastie. According to Petrova’s website, their chocolates are entirely handmade in small batches. The entire process to produce a batch of bonbons takes three days. Each mold is carefully polished and then painted with colored cocoa butter. They look almost too pretty to eat…ALMOST! Make sure to follow Petrova Chocolates on Instagram for the latest!
