Celebrate Eastie Week

The East Boston community and Boston Harbor Now are proud to announce the return of Eastie Week, the beloved multi-week celebration of East Boston’s vibrant culture, community, music, and arts. Now in its 12th year, Eastie Week 2025 will take place from Sunday, July 13, through Sunday, July 27, with more than two dozen events hosted throughout the neighborhood by local artists, community groups, cultural organizations, and youth programs. Purchase your tickets to Cunard Tavern’s Oyster Fest

Mark your calendars, Eastie—something delicious is coming to the neighborhood. Cunard Tavern is hosting its first-ever Oyster Fest on Saturday, July 26th from 1pm to 4pm, and it’s shaping up to be a summer highlight you won’t want to miss.  You can get all the fun details here! 

Live Music at The Tall Ship

What’s better than sipping on a cocktail with ocean views? Sipping on a cocktail with ocean views with live music!  The Tall Ship has live music this weekend – DJ Cam Wick 6-10 pm on Friday and Maddi Ryan Band 2-5:30pm & Julee 6-10pm on Sunday!

The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway hosts weekly Bocce games every Sunday at 4PM throughout the summer. You may also use the courts at your leisure and check out equipment, including bocce balls, rake, and broom at the YMCA during normal operating hours.

Check out Democracy Brewing

Big news for beer lovers and foodies in East Boston! Democracy Brewing—a worker-owned brewery and pub with  roots in Downtown Crossing—is now open in the neighborhood. The new location, aptly named Democracy Brewing Eastie, will bring its signature beer and a fresh dining experience to 154 Maverick Street in Maverick Square.

Take a sunrise or sunset kayak tour

What better way to start or end your day than with a guided sunrise or sunset kayak tour of Boston Harbor? The Piers Park Sailing Center offers guided sunrise and sunset tours this weekend! It’s a great way to explore the city from the ocean!  You can book the morning session here and the evening one here!  Kayaking at Piers Park helps support its public access, youth, and adaptive programs.  They are also open for regular public kayaking; you can reserve a time to kayak the Piers Park Cove by booking here

Let’s make some art

On Friday, join MLCA and N press for some collage making on Friday from 4pm-6pm at 31 Liverpools Street.  Enjoy collage making, water games, drinks and food. East Boston Artists Group and Kristen Freitas Art are hosting a free printmaking workshop on Saturday from 2pm-5pm at ZUMIX, 260 Sumner St, East Boston!
