Celebrate Eastie Week

The East Boston community and Boston Harbor Now are proud to announce the return of Eastie Week, the beloved multi-week celebration of East Boston’s vibrant culture, community, music, and arts. Now in its 12th year, Eastie Week 2025 will take place from Sunday, July 13 through Sunday, July 27, with more than two dozen events hosted throughout the neighborhood by local artists, community groups, cultural organizations, and youth programs. Greenway Pop Up Event at Wood Island Bay Marsh

Join Penpa Tsering for meditative, tranquil, nature-driven sounds in the marsh area of the Greenway. Tibetan artist Penpa Tsering is a master of his native Tibet, playing 16 of Tibet’s traditional musical instruments. His mother and grandfather taught him to sing traditional Tibetan songs, including the healing songs of his family, which, for generations, have been passed down by nomadic farmers. This soothing event takes place on Saturday, July 19th from 12pm-2pm.

ICA Watershed Block Party

On Saturday, July 19th from 12pm to 4pm, the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is throwing a Watershed Block Party at the East Boston Shipyard and Marina. The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway hosts weekly Bocce games every Sunday at 4PM throughout the summer. You may also use the courts at your leisure and check out equipment, including bocce balls, rake, and broom at the YMCA during normal operating hours.
