Looking for a fun (and free!) way to soak up the summer sun? On Saturday, July 19th from 12pm to 4pm, the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is throwing a Watershed Block Party at the East Boston Shipyard and Marina. Held at their seasonal Watershed space, this lively event is perfect for all ages and promises an afternoon full of art, music, and neighborhood fun by the water.
Expect live music from Sonido Social, performances and face painting courtesy of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, and art-making with Postcard Stories. Hungry? Grab a refreshing bite or drink from Aloe Natural Açaà & Coffee Shop. There’ll be games like cornhole, sidewalk chalk for the kiddos (and kids at heart), and plenty more surprises in store.
Can’t make this one? Don’t worry—there’s a second block party on August 16th. Mark those calendars!
