Zumix Walk for Music

This annual Walk for Music is ZUMIX’s biggest fundraiser – not to mention a great day of community, joy, celebration, and, of course, music! It takes place on Sunday, July 14th. Gather at the Firehouse for live music, snacks, and face painting, then walk together through the beautiful green spaces of East Boston. The Walk will end in Piers Park with a ZUMIX Summer Concert!  Get the details here. 

Waterfront on Wheels

Tour the Mary Ellen Greenway to learn about East Boston’s history and Piers Park III’s future. Bring whatever wheels you wish, including—but not limited to—wheelchairs, bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and more!  Takes place on Saturday from 10am-12pm.

ICA Watershed Block Party

Enjoy some neighborhood fun at the ICA Watershed Block Party on Saturday from 11am-4pm! Featuring live music from @BranchesSteelOrchestra, mask making and performances from @VROCCBoston, DJ sets from @Jojo_Vybz1, and more — along with our monumental exhibition “Hew Locke: The Procession.”  You can learn more here. 

Fat Beach Day

Bigger Bodies Boston’s Fat Beach Day will take place on Saturday in Eastie at Constitution Beach near the octagonal picnic shelter with a red roof.  This group is an all-volunteer community-building and social justice organization dedicated to creating fat community, fighting anti-fat bias, and promoting fat liberation. It’s a great way to explore the city from the ocean!  You can book the morning session here and the evening one here!  Kayaking at Piers Park helps support its public access, youth, and adaptive programs.  They are also open for regular public kayaking; you can reserve a time to kayak the Piers Park Cove by booking here
