The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2025 semifinalist nominees for the James Beard Awards — one of the most prestigious awards a restaurant or chef can earn. The non-profit celebrates restaurants and chefs around the country in many categories! We were happy to learn that Douglass Williams, from Mida, has been nominated in the Outstanding Restaurateur category. Way to go! Get all the details here!
Zumix Benefit featuring “Don’t Be Denied”
Steve Synder’s band is playing its annual fundraiser for ZUMIX again this year on Saturday, February 1st! Last years show was incredible and this year’s will be great too. The Don’t Be Denied Band will be joined by several guests and will feature students, alumni, teachers, staff and friends of ZUMIX as we gather to help support their amazing mission of bringing youth development to our city’s kids using music and technology. You can purchase your tickets here and if you cannot make the event please consider making a donation towards this benefit show. Doors open at 7:00pm to free pizza and a cash bar
