Boston Public Schools will be closed on Monday, February 23. All municipal buildings will be closed on Monday. Residents are encouraged to stay home. If travel is necessary, please use public transportation. Mayor Michelle Wu also declared a snow emergency ahead of the forecasted winter storm. Residents are advised that the snow emergency and parking ban will take effect starting at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Get all the important info and details here.

Moon + Stargazing Night at the East Boston Public Library
Eastie residents are invited to look up and explore the night sky during a Moon + Stargazing Night at the East Boston Public Library later this week. Hosted by PopScope Boston in partnership with the Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway, the event will give neighbors of all ages the chance to become “astronomers” for the evening. Attendees will be able to observe the moon, stars, and more through professional telescopes while learning about what’s happening above us in the winter sky. The free community event takes place on Thursday, February 26th from 6:30–8:00pm at the East Boston Public Library. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the rain date is February 26th. All ages are welcome. 🌙✨
