New Exhibition to see at AWG
Atlantic Works Gallery is pleased to announce AWG & Friends, a group exhibit, on view May 2 through May 23, 2026. This dynamic exhibition brings together gallery members alongside invited artists, highlighting a diverse range of creative voices and mediums. In celebration of the vibrant East Boston arts community, the gallery will host early hours on Saturday, May 2, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, in conjunction with the East Boston Artists Group Open Studios event, taking place across the neighborhood. Atlantic Works Gallery will host their regularly scheduled Third Thursday Reception on Thursday, May 21 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering visitors the opportunity to meet participating artists, share light bites and experience the exhibition in a lively, welcoming atmosphere, including an artist talk. Massport announced that the Breman Street Park splash pad will be getting upgraded! The splash pad will be closed from now through May, 31st.

Slush King is Back in Action April 25th – we’re counting down the days!
With warmer temps and longer days, the summer season is perfect for enjoying ice-cold treats! Enter Slush King, offering everything from homemade slush to ice cream sandwiches! Slush King has been around since 1965, operating as push carts that can be found around Boston Common and festivals throughout New England. In 2020, Slush King opened a window at 211 Bennington Street, where you can order your favorite ice cream treats every day from 1pm-10pm.
