East Boston Farmers Market Celebrates Fall with Autumn Festival Before Moving Indoors

The East Boston Farmers Market is wrapping up its outdoor season on Wednesday, October 28th, with a special Autumn Festival featuring food, music, art, and more.
The celebration will include a cooking demonstration by Equitable Food Systems, live music, and a dance performance by the Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC). VROCC will also host an art station where visitors can create traditional decorations for Día de los Muertos.
The Farmers Market Is Moving Indoors
Beginning Wednesday, November 4th, the East Boston Farmers Market will move indoors to 282 Meridian Street (the old library) for the winter and spring. A smaller market will take place on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
SNAP recipients can continue using their Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefits to purchase fresh, locally grown produce year-round.
Fresh Produce All Year Long
The market’s year-round CSA program with Farmer Dave’s will also move to 282 Meridian Street beginning November 4th. Residents can sign up to receive pre-packed boxes of local produce, with weekly payment options, SNAP/HIP benefits, and limited discounts for income-eligible participants.
The market is also looking for additional local vendors interested in participating in the indoor market.
A great way to shop local, support area farmers, and enjoy fresh produce even when the temperatures drop.
