Looks like Southie’s Seaport District could be getting a new liquor store! According to Universal Hub, the attorney for the wine/beer/liquor store chain – The Wine Gallery – went before the Boston Licensing Board on Wednesday morning. The Wine Gallery – with locations in Brookline, Downtown Boston, Kenmore Square and Lexington – hopes to open at the Watermark building at 89 Seaport Blvd. The stop would be 981 square feet.
The article goes on to state that the mayor’s office asked the board to hold off until after the Wine Gallery owner can meet with the Fort Point Neighborhood Association. Evidently – there is not neighborhood association yet for the Seaport District.
