East Boston Steam Day

This fun filled event takes place on Saturday, May 10th from 10am-1pm at East Boston High School Parking lot at 86 White Street.  There will be free food, music, prizes fun and more!  STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Math! You can learn more here. 

Found Vintage Market at The Tall Ship

FOUND Vintage Market is back at The Tall Ship this Sunday, May 11th, and it’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss event!  From 12 to 5 p.m., the East Boston waterfront will be home to over 60 local vendors offering everything from curated vintage fashion to sustainable home goods and handmade accessories. It’s the ultimate treasure hunt, set against the stunning backdrop of the harbor and skyline. Not only is it free to attend, but you can also grab a bite, sip on a drink, and take in gorgeous views while you shop. And yes, Tall Ship’s outdoor bar and food trucks will be in full swing.

Free Admission to the Zoo on Mother’s Day 

On Sunday,  Zoo New England is offering free admission for all mothers throughout the day. Bring Mom and the entire family to discover the incredible animals that call the Zoo home. Be sure to look for all the animal moms. At Franklin Park Zoo, say hello to moms like Kiki, the western lowland gorilla, and Amari, the Masai giraffe. You can learn more here! 

Lilac Sunday at the Arboretum

Pack a picnic and head to Lilac Sunday on May 11th from 10am-3pm at the Arboretum! Experience the springtime bloom of the renowned collection of over 400 lilacs. Visit for tours with Arboretum experts, hands-on children’s programming, dancing, meditation, chalk art, and more. Picnicking in the Arboretum landscape is permitted on this day only. Quack, Quack! It’s Duckling Day

Get those yellow outfits and duck costumes ready—Duckling Day is taking place on Boston Common this Sunday, and the forecast is looking sunny and warm! It’s the perfect excuse to round up the kids, pack some snacks, and spend a spring day outside. This beloved, family-friendly tradition celebrates the classic children’s book Make Way for Ducklings and features all kinds of fun: lawn games, live music, magic shows, and plenty of activities around the Parkman Bandstand. And of course, the main event—a joyful little parade through the Public Garden, retracing Mrs. Mallard’s famous steps to the iconic duckling sculpture. Registration covers your whole flock (no matter how big or small), and yes—it’s happening rain or shine (but thankfully, it looks like we’ll be getting all shine this year). Ice Cream Season has Returned at Petrova

Petrova Chocolates, a new chocolate boutique on Border Street, announced on social media that they’ll be serving ice cream again this season!  Petrova’s ice cream and sorbet are all made in-house with farm-fresh milk and cream and no artificial flavoring! You can have your ice cream or sorbet served in a chocolate-dipped cone, regular waffle cone, or cup. The flavors of ice cream and sorbet will rotate.
