Back in Action – Downeast Cider Pop-Up

Welcome back Downeast Cider Pop-Up in East Boston! This outdoor cider garden and pop-up is located in the shipyard city cornered across from the cider house and is open May – October. Pop-up hours for may are as follows: thu-fri: 5pm-9pm, sat: 11am-9pm and sun: 12pm-7pm.  Stop by!

Open Day at Piers Park Sailing Center

Enjoy a day of fun in the sun at the opening of Piers Park Sailing Center on Saturday starting at 1pm.  Featuring free food, music and sailing.  Piers Park Sailing Center is located at 95 Marginal Street.

And there off! Kentucky Derby in the Neighborhood!

And they’re off!  It’s the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.  20 horses will compete, and only one lucky winner will receive a $2 million purse!  The most exciting two minutes in sports begin at approximately 6:50pm on Saturday, May 3rd!  Here’s where to drink Mint Juleps, wear fancy hats, and watch the race! New Show at Atlantic Works Gallery: The Art of Letting Go

The Art of Letting Go features work by two AWG artists, Elsa Campbell and Daniel Gaviani. Letting go is not about losing; it’s about release. It’s the moment you exhale after holding your breath for too long. It’s the acceptance that change is natural, and that chaos can be art.  Opening reception takes place on Saturday.  You can get the details here! 

Microgreens by the Sea

Join the Greenway as it welcomes Ramon, owner of Microgreens By The Sea for microgreens planting demonstration, live harvesting, and samples of tasty microgreens. Adults and children are welcome to participate.  Supplies will be provided. Participants will take home a personal kit to grow microgreens at home. Takes place on Saturday, May 3 from 11am-1pm in front of the East Boston Library!

Ice Cream Season has Returned at Petrova

Petrova Chocolates, a new chocolate boutique on Border Street, announced on social media that they’ll be serving ice cream again this season!  Petrova’s ice cream and sorbet are all made in-house with farm-fresh milk and cream and no artificial flavoring! You can have your ice cream or sorbet served in a chocolate-dipped cone, regular waffle cone, or cup. The flavors of ice cream and sorbet will rotate.
