The Tall Ship is back for a new Season
If eating oysters and drinking rosé on a tall ship sounds like fun, then you’ll love The Tall Ship! Navy Yard Hospitality Group, which is also behind waterfront spots Pier 6 and Reelhouse, will officially reopen The Tall Ship on the East Boston Waterfront on Saturday, May 1st, for the 2026 season. On May 2nd, the Tall Ship will be celebrating the Kentucky Derby! Get the details here.
Kentucky Derby
And they’re off! It’s the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. 20 horses will compete, and only one lucky winner will receive a $2 million purse! The most exciting two minutes in sports begin at approximately 6:50pm on Saturday, May 2nd! Here’s where to drink Mint Juleps, wear fancy hats, and watch the race! Catch a Game + Grab a Snack
When you think of Little League, you probably picture very long games with lots of walks, sitting in the stands in freezing cold or stifling heat, depending on the month. You probably don’t think about enjoying a fresh shrimp cocktail! Yes, that’s right, shrimp cocktail! The snack shack at Festa Field is back for its fourth season, complete with shrimp cocktail served in a mini cap. In addition to the shrimp, they also offer oysters, hot dogs with caviar, chips, candy, cookies, ice cream, and more, all perfectly curated by EBO + Co. Grocery!
If only they served wine…let’s put that out there into the universe! Stop by and watch the kids play and treat yourself to something to eat! Saturday, May 2nd is Opening Day for Eastie Little League at 12pm.

With warmer temps and longer days, the summer season is perfect for enjoying ice-cold treats! Enter Slush King, offering everything from homemade slush to ice cream sandwiches! Slush King has been around since 1965, operating push carts at Boston Common and at festivals throughout New England. In 2020, Slush King opened a window at 211 Bennington Street, where you can order your favorite ice cream treats every day from 1pm-10pm. You can check out the full menu here!
