The Return of Street Cleaning 

It’s that time of year again! Birds are chirping. It’s staying light out later, and the street sweepers will be cleaning your neighborhood streets starting on April 1st.  Please note that parking restrictions related to street cleaning begin this week.  A schedule and information is available here!  Residents can also register for “No Tow,” a service that emails them when their street is scheduled for cleaning. So take notice, Eastie!  Watch the signs!

East Boston Ferry Service is Back – March 30th

The East Boston ferry operates on weekdays and weekends from March 30th through November 30 between East Boston at Lewis Mall Wharf and the downtown Boston area at Long Wharf (North). A one-way fare on the East Boston ferry is $2.40 (or $1.10 for Reduced Fare riders), which is the same as taking the subway. You can get all the important details here.

Zumix is turning 35!

ZUMIX, a local nonprofit providing creative opportunities for young people through music and technology, will celebrate its 35 th anniversary in 2026, beginning with a Birthday Bop celebration on Friday, April 10. The event will include a look back at ZUMIX’s beginnings in 1991, an open mic featuring performances from current ZUMIX students and alumni, and a community celebration of ZUMIX’s long-term impact on young people.  Get all the details including ticket information here!
