Free Arts + Crafts for Kids at Lopresti Park
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program is pleased to announce the return of free Arts & Crafts Workshops for children. From West Roxbury to East Boston, kids ages three to ten can enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts activities led by local artists at the workshops held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. This week, this fun and free event takes place at Lopresti Park on Tuesday, July 30th, August 6th, and August 13th.
Summer Community Day at Atlantic Works Gallery
Atlantic Works Gallery is celebrating the Cultures of East Boston on Saturday, August 3rd from 2pm-6pm featuring free family fun including an art exhibition, a film + discussion, food, music and dancing! The Atlantic Works Gallery is located at 80 Border Street.

Starting August 1, the MBTA will officially roll out contactless payment at all of its fare gates, buses, and Green Line and Mattapan Trolley trains. Now you’ll be able to pay by tapping your contactless debit/credit card, phone, or watch with a mobile wallet on new Charlie Card reader boxes and will accept tappable credit and debit cards, plus Apple/Samsung/Google Pay on your phone or watch of choice.
