Free Arts + Crafts in the Neighborhood
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program is pleased to announce the return of free Arts & Crafts Workshops for children. From West Roxbury to East Boston, kids ages three to ten can enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts activities led by local artists at the workshops held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Greenway Music This Week
Head to the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway for not one, but two nights of music this week! On Tuesday, July 29th at 6pm it’s Cha Cha Night with Judit Gaspar of Champions Dance Studio on Wednesday, July 30th at 6pm enjoy a night of Big Band Music with “Spajazzy Big Band Revival” featuring the music of Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Herman, Gershwin and more.
Lace up your sneakers and go!
Calling all runners and walkers! Join the East Boston Run Club on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Fridays at 7am for a 5K route! The group meets at the bottom of the golden staircase on Marginal Street. No need to sign up – just show up! According to their Instagram, “It’s truly a judgment-free zone. You can walk, run, or simply join for social purposes.” This is a great opportunity to meet new people, get some exercise, and enjoy our beautiful neighborhood!
Camp Spectacle
Looking to have a summer adventure? Boston Harbor Now is offering a one-day-only chance to camp under the stars on Spectacle Island – and it sounds super fun! Introducing Camp Spectacle, happening Saturday, August 2nd. MBTA Announces August Service Changes for Blue and Orange Line
Service changes are taking place to support renewal and revitalization work on the Blue Line, signal upgrade work on the Orange Line, the High Line Bridge Replacement Project, and the North Station Terminal Area Signal System Improvement Project. Get the details here.
