Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday

The City of Boston Election Department is reminding voters that the State Primary is Tuesday, September 1, 2026. This election will determine the candidates on the ballot in the upcoming State Election on Tuesday, November 3. There are a total of 438,367 registered voters. The Election Department has recruited and trained more than 1,872 poll workers across the 275 voting precincts in Boston. There are over 474 poll workers who will be able to provide assistance in languages that include Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean, Russian, and Portuguese. Take a Tour de Eastie

Lace up your sneakers and explore East Boston on foot! Walking City Trail is hosting its Tour de Eastie on Tuesday, September 1 at 6pm. The 2.5-mile hike will begin outside the Beachmont Blue Line station in Revere and follow Section 12 of the Boston Basin Trail through East Boston. Along the way, participants will explore marshlands, hilltop overlooks, hidden stairs, and neighborhood streets before finishing near the Orient Heights Blue Line station. There will also be an optional post-hike stop at Renegades Pub for anyone looking to keep the fun going! Sounds like a fun night!  You can learn more here!

The 311 Constituent Service Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. Just download the app or dial 3-1-1 to report non-emergency city issues like missed trash pickup or if you want to get rid of that old giant TV console in your basement.  You can even report that Vermont plate that’s been parking on your block during resident-only hours taking up valuable parking real estate.  Not on your watch!
