Let’s roll! Free Bluebikes for National Wellness Month
With National Wellness Month underway, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’ free Bluebikes credits ($15) are live now, giving your audience an easy way to get outside and enjoy the physical benefits and mental boost that biking has to offer. As the title sponsor of Bluebikes, Blue Cross is proud to help make biking more accessible for Greater Boston. The code BCBSMAWELLNESS can be entered in the Rewards section of the Bluebikes app, while supplies last.
New Liquor Licenses in the Neighborhood
More neighborhood restaurants will soon be able to serve beer, wine, and cocktails. Nine restaurants across Boston have been approved for new liquor licenses, including four businesses in East Boston, as part of the City’s effort to expand dining and support small businesses in historically underserved neighborhoods. You can get all the details, including businesses that received them, here.
Free Thursdays at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is offering free admission every Thursday evening in August from 5 to 9 p.m. Visitors can explore the galleries and take part in hands-on art activities inspired by the museum’s collection. Advance registration is recommended. You can learn more here.
Register for the Boston Waterfront 5K
The Boston Waterfront 5K is back on Saturday, September 12th, with a brand-new course and the same scenic waterfront views runners have come to love. Hosted by The McCourt Foundation, the annual race begins and ends at Leader Bank Pavilion and features a fresh route through the Seaport and along the waterfront. Open to runners and walkers of all ages, the event raises money to support The McCourt Foundation’s mission to cure neurological diseases and build healthier communities. Get all the details here.
Celebrate Eastie Pride Day at Piers Park
One of East Boston’s favorite summer traditions is back! The 36th Annual Eastie Pride Day takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Piers Park on Marginal Street. This free community celebration brings neighbors together for an afternoon of live music, performances, face painting, family-friendly activities, and plenty of Eastie pride. Local businesses and community organizations will also be on hand to showcase the work they do to make East Boston such a special place to live, work, and visit. Bring your family, meet up with friends, and celebrate everything that makes Eastie unique! Get the details here.
Have a wonderful week! Thank you to our Caught in Eastie readers and Neighborhood Partners for supporting our local journalism efforts!
