On Monday, April 6th at 7pm, at the Orient Heights Yacht Club (61 Bayswater St, E. Boston) Belle Isle Marsh will host a neighborhood talk featuring a speaker from the Mystic River Watershed Association.  Learn about water quality, common pollutants that affect the marsh, and different approaches to improve the water quality.

Calling all teens! Get a Job

Mayor Michelle Wu and the Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO) today announced that paid youth job applications are open for summer 2026. Boston youth and young adults ages 14 – 24 can apply now at futureBOS, a centralized hub for all youth employment opportunities in Boston, including opportunities from SuccessLink, the City’s youth jobs program. This announcement builds on Mayor Wu’s work to make Boston a home for everyone. ZUMIX to Celebrate 35 Years of Empowering Young People

ZUMIX, a local nonprofit providing creative opportunities for young people through music and technology, will celebrate its 35 th anniversary in 2026, beginning with a Birthday Bop celebration on Friday, April 10. The event will include a look back at ZUMIX’s beginnings in 1991, an open mic featuring performances from current ZUMIX students and alumni, and a community celebration of ZUMIX’s long-term impact on young people.  Get more details
