Uber driver drags Southie resident down 4th Street over phone

What the hell….
BPD responded to a call for a woman who was allegedly was dragged by an Uber on East Fourth Street around 3am on Sunday.
According to WCVB, the woman reported to police that she had left her phone in an Uber earlier in the night and had made plans for the driver to deliver it to her at the East 4th Street location. The woman went on to say the driver demanded a cash payment for delivering the phone (evidently this is a thing), but she did not have any cash on her. Needless to say an argument ensued and the woman attempted to reached inside the car to grab her phone, the driver put the vehicle in gear and accelerated toward P Street dragging her.
You can see the video of the incident here.Â
We’d have to imagine that due to the video, it’s only a matter of time before this driver is found by BPD.
