Third Car Crash in less than seven days in South Boston

On Wednesday morning, BFD and BPD responded to call for motor vehicle accident at 651 East Broadway and found a car on the sidewalk with the back end hitting the building. Luckily, no one was hurt – including the driver.
This is the third car crash in less than a week. This past Saturday night there was a crash on L Street and early Friday morning, a car smashed into McGoo’s Pizzeria.
On Tuesday night, City Councilor Ed Flynn declared the unsafe streets of South Boston as a public health emergency. He recommended updating the safe streets 12 point plan.
