Southie Shopping Cart Shenanigans Solution

Friend of Caught in Southie, Eileen Murphy posted on social media that Stop & Shop has followed through with its promise to City Councilor Ed Flynn and has updated its carts with an electronic system to stop people from taking them out for a joy ride in the neighborhood.

Back in the fall, City Councilors Flynn and Michael Flaherty wrote a letter to Stop & Shop about late-night shopping cart shenanigans that posed a public safety concern. You can read the letter here!Â
