It was a bumpy end to the journey for JetBlue Flight 312, coming in from Chicago on Thursday afternoon. After landing at Logan Airport, the plane veered off runway 33L and came to a stop in a grassy patch beside the tarmac, according to airport officials.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and all passengers were safely transported to the terminal by bus. The runway was temporarily shut down while crews assessed the scene.
The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident, and JetBlue confirmed in a statement that the plane “veered off the runway and onto the grass after landing.”
A brief ground stop was put in place following the incident, but has since been lifted.
