Tune in.
On Tuesday night, Mayor Michelle Wu will appear on The Daily Show, Comedy Central’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program, which discusses the biggest stories in news, politics, and culture through a satirical lens.
This isn’t Wu’s first time in the national spotlight—earlier this month, she testified at a congressional hearing on immigration policies in Boston and beyond. Now, she’s sitting down with part-time Daily Show host Ronny Chieng.
Mayor Wu has had her fair share of back-and-forth with former Trump immigration chief Tom Homan, who made headlines last month by vowing to “bring hell” to Boston through federal immigration raids.
And now, it looks like those threats weren’t just talk. On Monday, ICE officials announced that between March 18 and 23, they arrested 370 migrants in Massachusetts as part of a multi-agency operation targeting organized crime, gangs, and serious offenders.
Tune in at 11 p.m. we’re sure that the hot topic of immigration will be discussed.
