Man Shot in East Boston Over the Weekend

A man is in critical condition following a shooting in East Boston late Saturday night. Boston police officers, who were in the area of 3 Lewis Mall just before 10:45 p.m., witnessed gunfire and quickly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody, though no further details have been released at this time. The investigation remains active.
