On Tuesday afternoon, Bampumim Teixeira was convicted of first-degree murder in the case of Dr. Lina Bolanos and Dr. Richard Field found murdered in their condo at the Macallen Building on May 5, 2017. After the verdict was read, Teixeira had to be removed by several court officers after outbursts directed at the family of one of the victims.
Earlier on Tuesday, Teixeira had to be removed from the courtroom after threatening a prosecutor.
In addition to the first-degree murder conviction, Teixeira was also found guilty of home invasion, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of armed robbery. He will be sentenced Friday at 9 a.m.
