Lights Out! LA mayor cutting off utilities if hosting large gathering

Talk about a “power” move
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has had it up to here with large house parties and packed bars/restaurants. So what’s a mayor to do when people aren’t adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines and safe practices? Shut the sh*t down.
Garcetti made the announcement on Wednesday, after a series of high-profile parties in LA including some involving YouTube and TikTok stars.
Beginning Friday night, if LAPD responds and verifies that there’s a large gathering happening and the property in question has has offended “time and time again – they will provide notice and initiate the process to request that DWP shut off service within the next 48 hours.”
What do you think? Good idea or going too far?
