It’s Electric – New electric Bluebikes coming to the Boston

The City of Boston recently signed a new five-year deal with Lyft that will bring some big improvements to the bikeshare system across Greater Boston.
We’re talking hundreds of new electric bikes, additional docking stations (including the first-ever electric charging stations), and overall better availability—aka fewer frustrating moments of empty docks or nowhere to park. According to Mayor Michelle Wu, the rollout is already in motion, with the first 100 new e-bikes expected to hit the streets any day now.
Also worth noting: Boston residents can get discounted annual Bluebikes memberships—so if you’ve been thinking about ditching the T or mixing up your commute, this might be your sign. Sign up here.
