Officers requested the two individuals to stop and one suspect took off running. Officers were quickly able to stop the suspect and conducted a pat frisk which revealed negative results. Officers broadcasted a description of the group and they were located in the area of Central Square.
Officers conducted a pat frisk of the individuals and recovered an empty twelve round magazine from one of the suspects. Officers also recovered plastic bags of marijuana from the suspects.
Officers began to canvass the flight path of the suspects and located a discarded firearm in a trash can inside a satchel bag. Detectives determined that the firearm was a Taurus GC2 with five rounds in the magazine.
