Chicken on the loose in Eastie

A chicken was spotted in the wild of East Boston on Sunday afternoon. This is not something you see every day in the neighborhood, a chicken crossing the road, but you can raise chickens in the city of Boston, so maybe she escaped from her coop.
Residents of Boston can raise up to six female chickens (hens) in their backyards with an approved permit under Article 89, which was passed in 2013 to legalize urban farming. Roosters (male chickens) are not permitted.
