Local Neighborhood Groups aren’t thrilled with Plan: East Boston
Looking out for the neighborhood
Over the past several months, the Boston Planning and Development Agency has been holding neighborhood meetings and workshops to discuss Plan: East Boston. Back in September, the BPDA released a draft of East Boston Tomorrow, the full draft report of the PLAN: East Boston. You can read this 88-page document here.
Needless to say, many residents have issues with this document and fear the changes are just too much for the neighborhood, leaving them frustrated that their voices aren’t being heard.
Well, a group of East Boston neighborhood groups released a letter in response to this report. The group is less than pleased with this draft of the report. The following letter below is from the Eagle Hill Civic Association, the Gove Street Citizens Association, Harbor View Neighborhood Association, the Jeffries Point Neighborhood Association, and the Orient Heights Neighborhood Council.
