Coming Soon to the Neighborhood: Blackbird Doughnuts + Sally’s Sandwiches

Wildly popular Blackbird Doughnuts and Sally’s Sandwiches are planning to open a new spot at Clippership Wharf.
Boston Restaurant Blog reports that the new location will combine both concepts—so think doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee all in one place, plus maybe a little of the Gallow’s sprinkled in.
According to a reel from Gallows Group founder Rebecca Roth Gullo, there will also be a “little sprinkling of The Gallows,” which was a gastropub in the South End that closed in 2021.
This will be the eighth location for Blackbird Doughnuts and/or Sally’s Sandwiches. Other locations can be found in the South End, Beacon Hill, Fenway, Brighton, Harvard Square, Newton Center, and Watertown.
The opening is expected late spring/early summer.
