South Boston Vietnam Memorial: Honor + Remember
If you forget my death, I died in vain
March 29th is National Vietnam Veterans Day. The South Boston Vietnam Memorial is located at Medal of Honor Park and is thought to be the first Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in the country. 25 names of South Boston natives that died during the Vietnam War are etched in marble in the memorial. Each soldier listed is immortalized in a brief but moving bio about his life here. We encourage you to read and learn about each and everyone one of these brave men.
To all those who served in the Vietnam War from South Boston and beyond, we thank you for your service.
