Look Up! Military Flyovers Will Add Even More Excitement to Sail Boston

The Tall Ships aren’t the only thing worth watching this weekend. As Sail Boston kicks off on Saturday, July 11, two special military flyovers will take to the skies over Boston Harbor.

The first will feature U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter jets flying over the harbor at approximately 10:15 a.m. as the USS Constitution leads the Parade of Sail into Boston Harbor.

Then, at 4:30 p.m., the Royal Air Force’s world-famous Red Arrows aerobatic team will soar overhead in a precision flyover, adding another unforgettable moment to an already packed day on the waterfront.

So if you’re out and about along the harbor to catch the Tall Ships, don’t forget to look up.   Check out our Guide to Sail Boston here.

Plus – there will be fireworks on Saturday night:

Fireworks will illuminate Boston Harbor and the Tall Ships on Saturday, July 11th at 9:15pm. The fireworks will launch from a barge located off Boston’s Fan Pier.  They’ll happen again on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:15pm too!

On Thursday, the UK’s Royal Air Force did a very cool flyover!
