The Circus is Back in Town: Do Portugal Circus returns to East Boston

Get ready, Eastie — the Do Portugal Circus is rolling back into town from November 7 through December 7, bringing a full month of high-flying acrobatics, dazzling artistry, and family-friendly fun!
Founded in 1911 by the Portugal family in Mexico, this beloved circus has been wowing audiences around the world for more than a century. Now run by the fifth generation of the family, the show continues to celebrate tradition, talent, and togetherness — all under their signature red-and-blue big top right here in East Boston at 305 William F. McClellan Highway.
Expect breathtaking acts from the Portugal family themselves — including Carlos Portugal Jr. with his amazing juggling, Ivan Portugal on the Washington Trapeze, The Flying Portugals on the Flying Trapeze, and Eddy Portugal with gravity-defying hand balancing. Each performance is packed with color, energy, and heart — and best of all, it’s completely animal-free.
Whether you’re bringing the kids, a date, or just looking to relive some old-school circus magic, the Do Portugal Circus is an experience you won’t want to miss.
