New to the Neighborhood: Los Alebrijes

East Boston’s restaurant scene just got a little more colorful with the arrival of Los Alebrijes, a family-owned spot featuring Mexican food like pozole, tortilla soup, pescadillas, tacos, enchiladas, and more! Save room for the churros and ice cream for dessert!

The cozy spot has bold and beautiful artwork by artist Deylii Landaverde featuring “alebrijes” which are folk art that take elements from different animals from the artist’s imagination to create a magical being.
According to What Now Boston, the co-owners are Crisoforo Lopez, Roció Rojas, and Gerardo Espinosa, who also own Los Agaves in Chelsea. The trio is actively working on securing a liquor license so margaritas could be in the future!
Los Alebrijes is located at 192 Sumner Street.
