Backyard Betty’s will not reopen

In the wake of COVID-19, many of our small businesses have decided to close their doors for good. Backyard Betty’s announced on Tuesday via Instagram that they will not reopen.
It’s been a minute, we know! We want to say thank you to everyone who has offered support since we abruptly closed our doors in March, along with all other Boston restaurants, due to the initial outbreak of COVID-19. Though it was a difficult decision, we understand the health and safety of our community is the top priority. We are so appreciative of everyone who reached out with kind words and positivity over the past few months. We were hopeful to bounce back to burgers, gamedays, and summertime fun in the backyard, it is with an extra heavy heart that we share Backyard Betty’s will not be re-opening. We want to further express our gratitude to our entire team at Betty’s that made the backyard the creative, vibrant, fun space that it was – we couldn’t have done it without you! Stay tuned and follow along with our sister restaurant, @publicoboston, to learn about how you’ll be able to still get a bite of Betty’s again in Southie!
Thank you so much for your support! – Theo & The Backyard Betty’s Team
