Old School Southie: Blizzard of 1978

45 years ago, the Blizzard of 1978 dropped 27.1 inches of snow on Boston. In addition to the snow, there were wild winds of 86 mph. It was a doozy. Here’s an old-school photo of Farragut Road.
Not to be outdone, eight years ago, we survived Snowmageddon. A whopping 108.6 inches fell over several weekends.
