Mayor Wu’s Coffee Hour in East Boston

Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours offer a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about City services and resident concerns. Through personal conversations and a suggestion box at each site, Mayor Wu looks forward to hearing how the City of Boston can improve parks, public areas, and City services. A neighborhood staple known for bringing the community together over a cup of coffee, Dunkin’ is back to fuel the conversation with iced coffee and donuts. Dunkin’ will also provide lawn game activities for attendees, gift card giveaways, and the opportunity for residents to win a raffle prize. Free flowering plants will be provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, and fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market, while supplies last.

This neighborhood event takes place on Monday, July 27 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at East Boston Memorial Park, 143 Porter St, Boston, MA 02128

Eastie Beach Bash

Looking for a fun way to spend a summer day? Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is hosting its annual Eastie Beach Bash on Wednesday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Constitution Beach. This free community event is packed with family-friendly activities, including kayaking, fishing, beach games, sandcastle building, face painting, a live crab touch tank, music, and more. The event is designed to help people of all ages get outside, enjoy Boston Harbor, and connect with the waterfront. The Eastie Beach Bash is free to attend, so grab your sunscreen, bring the kids, and enjoy a fun day at the beach. You can learn more here! 

Spend a Night Under the Stars on Spectacle Island

Looking for a one-of-a-kind summer adventure? Boston Harbor Now and the Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park are inviting campers to spend a night on Spectacle Island. Your ticket includes round-trip ferry service from Downtown Boston, overnight camping in a group campsite, a continental breakfast, ranger-led activities, nature walks, games, and s’mores by the campfire. The Boston Waterfront 5K is back on Saturday, September 12th, with a brand-new course and the same scenic waterfront views runners have come to love. Hosted by The McCourt Foundation, the annual race begins and ends at Leader Bank Pavilion and features a fresh route through the Seaport and along the waterfront. Open to runners and walkers of all ages, the event raises money to support The McCourt Foundation’s mission to cure neurological diseases and build healthier communities.  Get all the details here. 

Get your elastic waist pants ready

East Boston Main Streets will host the 30th Annual “Taste of Eastie” on Tuesday, July 28th, from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Tall Ship! For 30 years, Taste of Eastie has been East Boston’s largest charity dining event. It sells out every year, with attendees eager to try a “taste” of Eastie’s diverse local cuisine and support Eastie. We highly recommend arriving early to avoid missing out on any of the amazing food. Tickets are $65, and you can purchase your ticket here!
