The Smoke Shop BBQ has officialy closed its doors on Sunday.
In neighborhood restaurant news, The Smoke Shop BBQ has officially closed down for good on Sunday, October 5th.
The restaurant was located at 45 Lewis Street and opened back in July of 2023.
The Smoke Shop BBQ has six locations, including Fort Point, Assembly Row, Harvard Square, Methuen, Chelmsford and Woburn.
Back in 2018, the local chain was named Best Barbecue Restaurant by Boston Magazine.
While owner Andy Husbands did not provide a specific reason for closing, he told MassLive via statement, “While the summers were fantastic, we found the winters to be more challenging.”
