$2M Winning Scratch Ticket Sold In East Boston

Talk about a life-changing gift! A Georgia woman visiting family in East Boston got a surprise of a lifetime when a scratch ticket from her dad turned into a $2 million win.
Vanesa Menijvar Acosta claimed her prize on June 3rd at the Massachusetts State Lottery office in Dorchester—walking away with a sweet $1.3 million after taxes.
The lucky ticket was purchased at East Boston Corner Market on London Street, which will now get a $20,000 bonus for selling the winner.
Acosta shared with lottery officials that she plans to use her winnings to buy a home and pursue a college degree.
