Sumner Tunnel will be closed on Tuesday night for maintenence.

According to the MassDOT, the Sumner Tunnel, southbound on Route 1A, will be temporarily closed overnight on Jan. 21 due to maintenance.
From 11 p.m. to at 5 a.m., all traffic will be detoured to the Ted Williams Tunnel.
“Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution,” MassDOT said in a statement. “All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.”
