Pregnant women in third trimester and new moms could get access to handicap parking placards.

Universal Hub is reporting that City Councilor John FitzGerald (District 3 – Dorchester) has proposed a measure to grant handicap parking placards to pregnant women and those who have given birth in the last six months.
Included in FitzGeral’s list of issues to support the proposal included mobility problems, high blood pressure, and C-section recovery. New dad Councilor Brian Worrell agreed with the proposal.
The proposal will go to a council committee for a public hearing and consideration.

it’s not safe and difficult for a pregnant woman to walk longer distances, and concerns about high blood pressure then they probably should not be driving either. They are putting everyone in danger
These placards are already being misused and this thoughtless righteous proposal is opening the Pandora’s box for other groups to request too
Yuppies are leaving the city because it’s too expensive they don’t need access to hp parking ! They need reasonable priced rentals, reliable T that doesn’t break down every other day!
Another privileged white man thinking world should bow to him and his wife!!!! Unbelievable
I have a disability and use a wheelchair and even now I have a hard time finding hp spaces
Wait wait maybe the implicit reasoning behind this proposal is to push disabled people out of the city
