BPL East Boston Branch – It’s worth the trip!

You don’t have to be a bookworm to love everything the Eastie Library has to offer!

Back in 2013, this gorgeous library, designed by William Rawn Associates Architects, Inc., opened its doors!  Over a decade later, this branch is still new and fresh!

This place has it all!  Books, eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV series and music, maps, magazines and more! It also houses beautiful remnants of  “Ships Through The Ages” murals painted by  Frederic Leonard King between 1934 and 1935.

Beyond what can be checked out, you can participate in a plethora of classes and social gatherings. Some standouts include adult ed + certification, citizenship classes, financial empowerment, teen trivia, homework help, and children’s story hour!

Also,  don’t miss out on the weekly Breathe and Bach sound therapy brought to you by the Emmanuel Music Institution. This is specifically described NOT as a performance but essentially as an artistic moment to encourage personal reset and recharge.  We all could use more of this in our lives!

If you decide to sign up and obtain a library card, you will automatically receive $20 for printing!  Plus, it’s cool to have a library card!

Let us know if you go!
