Teen arrested in Eastie for armed robbery.

At about 8:07 PM, on Monday, February 19, 2024, officers assigned to District A-7 (East Boston) arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male on armed robbery charges.
Officers responded to the area of 212 Maverick Street for a report of an armed robbery. Officers were advised that a victim had recently withdrawn money from an ATM and a suspect pulled out a knife demanding the money.
A description of the suspect was broadcasted, and officers were able to locate the suspect sitting in front of the ATM. After further investigation, officers placed the suspect into handcuffs, and recovered a knife from his front jacket pocket.
The 17-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with: Delinquent to wit; armed robbery, and delinquent to wit; assault by means of a dangerous weapon to wit knife. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
