Hey, DCR, step up to the plate! Evans Field needs some help!

Baseball season is upon us – in particular South Boston Little League Season – and it seems as though it’s a swing and miss when it comes to the condition of a neighborhood field.
Way back in the fall, elected officials, representatives from the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), South Boston Little League and parents has a walkthrough of Evans Fields (next to the Murphy Rink) to go over the poor field conditions and improvements to the infrastructure. Well, it’s May and nothing has been done. With opening day for South Boston Little League next week, Senator Nick Collins and Rep. David Biele have composed a harshly worded letter to the DCR to do their job.
