New Month: Laws being enforced at M Street Beach

Listen up, beach goers. The Massachusetts State Police is starting off August with some good old fashioned law enforcement on M Street Beach. The troopers were seen giving out tickets for public drinking on Saturday. One witness also spotted them searching coolers and checking ID’s too.
So consider yourself warned. Public drinking on DCR beaches is against the law.
M Street Beach is no stranger to controversy this summer. There was a “bathroom situation” earlier this summer and some PG-13 nudity last month.
The Globe also called out beach goers at M Street Beach for lack of social distancing and no mask wearing.
